What it is
Over time the lips become thinner, paler and drier, and their outline blurs. Fine vertical lines appear around the mouth. Some people have always had thin or asymmetrical lips and want to enhance them gently.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that binds water and gives tissues volume. A hyaluronic acid filler restores lost volume, improves the shape of the lips and hydrates the delicate skin of the lips.
Where it comes from
- Drop in hyaluronic acid. With age the skin contains less and less of it, so the lips are less firm and less hydrated.
- Loss of fatty tissue and collagen. The lips lose volume and their outline becomes less defined.
- Sun, dehydration and smoking. They dry out the lips and speed up the formation of lines around them.
- Genetics and facial structure. The shape and size of the lips are an individual trait.

How we solve it
For loss of lip volume we recommend lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid. Before the treatment we discuss the result you want and choose the amount of product so that the lips look natural and suit the rest of your face. The product hydrates and adds volume, and you see the effect straight away.
The treatment takes about an hour. The swelling that follows goes down within a few days, and we assess the final shape of the lips after 10-14 days. If needed, we will plan a follow-up visit.
