Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal with the Asclepion Mediostar Monolith is a modern and effective method of permanently removing unwanted hair, and a safe alternative to traditional methods such as waxing, razors or epilators. The treatment uses a concentrated beam of laser light which, penetrating the skin, precisely destroys the hair follicles by absorption of melanin, the pigment responsible for hair colour. As a result the laser beam heats and permanently damages the hair bulb, preventing regrowth, while protecting the surrounding tissue, which guarantees the safety of the treatment.

For people who want to permanently reduce unwanted hair on the face and body, or who have ingrown hairs, irritation after shaving or hirsutism.
You usually need 8-10 treatments. One treatment takes up to 1.5 hours, depending on the size of the area, and we adjust the intervals to the hair growth cycle.
The hairs start to fall out after 1-2 weeks, and a clear reduction shows after 2-3 treatments. After the series the effect lasts a long time, and sometimes maintenance treatments are needed.
For a few hours to 1-2 days the skin may be red and slightly swollen. For about 48 hours avoid the sun, solariums, saunas, swimming pools and intense exercise, and use a cream with SPF.
We do not do laser hair removal on a fresh tan or after sunbathing in the last week, with infections, a cold sore or inflammation in the treated area, with skin cancer and suspicious moles, with epilepsy, or with a tendency to keloids. Photosensitising medicines and products and a flare-up of autoimmune disease also rule it out. During pregnancy and breastfeeding we decide after a consultation.
