After the treatment: what to expect
After the treatment the skin is red, warm and swollen, as after strong sunbathing. Tiny marks from the microneedles are visible and the skin may feel rough. The redness and swelling usually last 2-3 days, and on the stomach, thighs or arms they can last longer.
Bruising and tenderness may appear, and in the first week the skin may be dry and flake. Full recovery usually takes up to 10 days.
For a week avoid saunas, swimming pools, solariums, intense exercise, hot baths, hair removal and tight clothing that rubs the skin. Moisturise with a body lotion and protect exposed areas with SPF 50. The results build up gradually over the following weeks.
